Sheriff Mike Jansen and Deputy George Schreiner were proud to participate in this year’s Cops and Kids program that our FOP Lodge provides every year. 55 total children we provided a hot breakfast, then shopping with law enforcement officers from all over Campbell County. There were photos with Santa, a wrapping party and lunch afterwards. All in all a great day was had by all.

Donation Letter
Aside
Some Campbell County Residents may receive a donation letter for the Kentucky Sheriffs’ Association Boys and Girls Ranch.
If you received a letter in my name asking for a donation for the Kentucky Sheriffs’ Association Boys and Girls Ranch, this is a legitimate letter that I approved to be sent out. The Boys and Girls Ranch is a wonderful program and we send a group of boys and a group of girls from our county each summer. The children pay nothing to go to the Ranch.
Below is a copy of the letter that was mailed out. Clicking on it will allow it to be seen full size.
I thank you for your consideration.

John “Johnny” Sayers Retires
Friday, June 28th, 2019 will be the last day on the job for a Campbell County Law Enforcement Legend. John Sayers started in Law Enforcement in 1957. He retired from Silver Grove Police Department as Chief in 2009. Within a day he was back on the job at the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office as a sworn Court Security Deputy. John soon become the face of the Sheriff’s Office greeting people as they entered the court house each day. Our research shows he is the longest serving law enforcement officer in Kentucky, and further research reveals he may be the longest in the nation. We are having Guinness World Records look into it.
Although we celebrated Johnny’s career today, as of this posting, you have one day left to see Johnny on the job and wish him a great retirement. He will be on post one last day, Friday, June 28th, 2019, 8 until Noon. If you can come down and wish him well, he would surely enjoy it.
